The Liberal Democrats surge forward in the UK 2010 election .
The race for number 10 has been turned on its head! Nick Clegg's performance on the TV debate was inspiring. He was the only one that smiled. Cameron and Brown looked totally out of their comfort zone.
Also many in the UK wouldn't mind seeing Vince Cable in Number 11. He is probably the most respected politician we have. That in itself is not a great achievement in the current environment, but he the only person that sounds like he knows what he is talking about on the economy.
It would really shake things up if the Lib Dems got in or pushed Labour into 3rd place. Clegg and Cable really do have a chance as they may well take votes from both of the main parties.
Someone who has voted Labour all their lives, but does not want to vote for Brown and this government anymore is unlikely to vote Conservative. They are more likely to vote for a minor party or stay at home. Equally a true Conservative supporter is unlikely to ever vote Labour.
This is now a 3 horse race which means the probability of a hug parliament increases. Well, at least it got interesting!
